Candy Store Canvases These large canvas paintings were painted in my local studio, then shipped and installed in Z. Ciaccolato, the San Francisco store that purchased them. The client very specifically wanted reproductions of Italian Renaissance master-works, with the fun twist of working candy imagery into the famous images. She came up with Mona Lisa, and the Raphael cherubs, and let me design the third piece, which is the Botticelli Venus carrying her Z. Cioccolato shopping bag. That’s my kid posing in the Mona Lisa shots! The client installed these herself, so it was a handy way to produce some custom murals from a distance.
